MRS. MATTIE McCOY PASSES;
FUNERAL SATURDAY AT 1:30
The death angel reached into
our midst early this morning and
called to her Heavely home one
of the county's most lovable and
charitable ladies, Mrs. Mattie
Ford McCoy, 78, after an illness
of ten days. She resided on Mc-
Kinney street with her devoted
husband, George C. McCoy, where
their home was a popular visiting
place for a host of friends.
Mrs. McCoy loved people. She
was a native of Barren County,
born and reared in the Elbow
Springs-Eighty Eight-Kino sec-
tion, a daughter of the late John
T. Ford. She was a devout mem-
ber of Lick Branch Presbyterian
church and numbered her friends
by her acquaintances because to
know her was to love her.
Surviving are her devoted hus-
band, ad two sons, Willie McCoy,
Cave City, and Lonnie McCoy,
Bowling Green. Also surviving
are four half-sisters, Mrs. Haud Depp,
Eighty Eight, Mrs. Annie Lyons,

grandchildren.
